Over the last few days, people have been requesting Canvas course shells. Previously, you were advised to contact the Help Desk if you were having difficulty in entering Canvas or needed assistance with obtaining a course that you are the teacher. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for this help.
Click here to begin the Canvas Course Shell setup process. Returning instructors, when prompted for your email address enter your MDE license number and current Canvas password. This process can be skipped by logging into Canvas prior to clicking the link.
New instructors, must complete the Canvas Course Shell Request form prior to beginning the process.
All instructors must submit NEW students via the Canvas Course Shell Process Site. Students that have not been uploaded to the site will not be added to Canvas.
Below are two links that will help you with requesting course shells for you to be the teacher and enrolling students.
If you do not know your teacher license number, contact MDE ELMS website and enter your information to obtain the number. You may also check with your school district administration. They will have it as well.
