I wished to contact everyone again regarding the upcoming Mississippi Business Education Association conference. If you have not registered to attend yet, it is not too late to do so. The conference will be Friday, September 18 at the Marriott in Jackson, MS. It will begin at 8 and continue until 3:30 or so. CEU credit may be obtained as well.
If you are attending the conference, the Marriott has agreed to defer costs for parking at the hotel. The exception to this will be for anyone who attends in an oversized vehicle. This means your vehicle must clear the overhanging sign at the Marriott entrance. I believe it is approximately 6 feet tall. Should your vehicle of a school van or whatever not clear this overhang, you will be responsible for paying parking fees at that point. MBEA will not pay for this additional parking. You will also need to contact the Marriott directly to arrange a double parking space for approximately $20 per vehicle. The number to call for more information on regarding parking is 601-969-5100.
All conference hotel rooms that were reserved are gone. You may still call the Marriott to reserve a room. It will be at the regular room rate.
We have many wonderful sessions, exhibitors, and sponsors. Topics include ethics, keyboarding best practices, entrepreneurship, increasing enrollment, student organizations, teamwork, and much, much more. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Susie VanHuss, leading textbook author for many of our school programs. Finally, door prizes will be given away at the closing session (must be present to win).
You may still register to attend the conference. The online registration form can be found at http://goo.gl/forms/KwtuEYJ1JI. Attached is the paper registration form. Paper registration is to be mailed to the following:
