Financial Literacy Resources

The Mississippi Council for Economic Education is hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, February 17.  It is entitled Math in the Real World.  Lesson plans to accompany the 30-minute webinar are FREE!

Math in the Real World (MITRW), one of CEE’s newest teacher resources, brings together the expertise of math teachers and economics teachers to create interdisciplinary lessons that teach important personal finance and economic concepts in the context of math lessons.

Led by two MITRW lesson developers, this webinar will give you

An introduction to MITRW
A demonstration of a lesson
Suggestions on how the lesson can be used in the classroom

Updated Website, Resources, and More

Good afternoon!  It seems like we have another 6 weeks of winter since the groundhog saw his shadow.  If we are going to have some cold, I want some snow of a decent amount to go with it.  We all need the fun of acting like kids, building snowmen, and eating snow ice cream.  If we have snow in the coming weeks, let’s make sure we avoid any injuries.
