The National Education Startup Challenge is underway. This is a great opportunity to help our students learn some business, leadership, and technology skills. It would be awesome to have some of our wonderful students recognized! Check out the provided link for more information regarding the challenge. http://nesc.challenge.gov/
With spring upon us and many of us doing our spring cleaning, I just wished to remind everyone to “clean” their computers as well. Be sure to update all of your anti-virus software and malware or spyware removal applications. These programs can keep your personal computer running smoothly. Some awesome software to aid you with your spring cleaning are avast! or AVG antivirus (free!). Don’t forget to back-up your files as well.
Some teachers across the state have emailed me in the past week asking about creating surveys. A free and easy survey creator is Survey Monkey. Surveys are great tools for gathering data and opinions.
The spring semester is ending soon. However, we still have some classes that are open for enrolling. If you need a last minute CEU or SEMI credit for license renewal, please consider these listed below:
- Basic Blackboard – March 28
- Advanced Blackboard – April 18
- First Aid in the Classroom- April 9
- Grant Writing for Education – April 18
Please feel free to share this information with every educator you know. They do not have to be a Career and Technical educator. Academic teachers are invited to participate in our online professional development as well.
As always, please let me know if I can be of help to you with your professional development needs. Keep us posted of all the great things that are happening in your schools or if you know of something that would help others in our state.
